Aaron Steve joined US Sweepstakes out of graduate school in 2005 as an Account Executive. After a decade with the company, he assumed presidency in 2015 and took over operations.
He is still actively involved in promotions – most notably with Time Inc. and This Old House, Real Simple, InStyle and People.
Aaron also coordinates requirements, specifications, deliverables and timeframes between clients, agencies and other partners/vendors involved, and the US Sweeps website and interactive programming managers and developers. Aaron also coordinates client/agency contacts and development staff to create customized and off-the-shelf online and social media promotions, along with recommendations for layout, functionality, client research and reporting tools, and anything necessary to make the project an outstanding success based on client input and expectations.
Aaron serves as the day-to-day contact on national, recurring accounts such as McDonald’s, Little Debbie Foods, Nationwide Insurance, AAA (Western & Central NY and Mid-Atlantic Regions), ING Direct, Dave & Buster’s, SpikeTV and related Viacom affiliates, and develops new business relationships with prospects and companies requesting information on USSC’s services and requirements for running promotional campaigns.
Heather Rohr, Senior Vice President
Heather Rohr joined US Sweepstakes in 2011, bringing over 12 years of agency experience in account strategy and management. She previously served in Account Management positions with Saatchi & Saatchi, part of the Publicis Groupe, the world’s third largest communications group, and Jay Advertising, an Interpublic/McCann Worldgroup Agency.
Heather manages the account service staff to ensure all client needs are met as well as project deadlines, milestones and goals. Heather also leads all new business efforts and corporate marketing strategies.
Heather serves as the day-to-day contact on national, recurring accounts such as Ann Taylor, B.A.S.S., Big Lots, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Raymour & Flanigan, SteinMart and Treasury Wine Estates.
Charlene Semrau, Senior Vice President
Charlene Semrau brings over 30 years of agency experience in account and financial management to US Sweeps. She previously served in Account Management and Financial positions with ICE Communications, Inc.
Charlene manages the support services staff to ensure all project winner selection, notification and fulfillment needs are met as well as managing the financial staff to meet the company’s financial goals.
Charlene serves as the day-to-day contact on national, recurring accounts for many of the Time Inc. publications such as, Coastal Living, Cooking Light, Entertainment Weekly, Real Simple, Southern Living and Sunset. She also serves as the day-to-day contact on all client survey accounts such as Ace Hardware, ALDI, Big Lots, Five Guys, GameStop, Sephora, TD Ameritrade, US Beef and Wingstop.
Jill Galgay, Vice President
Jill Galgay joined US Sweepstakes in 2012. Before joining US Sweepstakes she gained over 10 years of advertising agency experience focusing on client verticals such as Healthcare, Finance, and Consumer Packaged Goods.
She oversees all sales operations to grow sales and cultivate client relationships. Jill also contributes to new business efforts and corporate initiatives.
Jill serves as the day-to-day contact on national brand accounts such as Revlon, LG Electronics, Tuesday Morning, Swisher International, Travelzoo, and theSkimm.
Doug Laughton is a 30-year veteran of the advertising/sales promotion business, and the founder of US Sweepstakes & Fulfillment Co.
After graduating from Rochester Institute of Technology with a degree in Business Administration and Graphic Arts, Doug began his career at Blair/DuBois/BBDO, a printing and promotional marketing firm with offices in Rochester and NYC.
Over the years, Mr. Laughton has been involved with just about every aspect of sales promotion on major accounts including Whole Foods (which he still manages), Time Inc. (pitched and won the business), Disney, Corning Glass Works, Seneca Foods, Kitchens of Sara Lee, Panasonic, Glenmore Distillers, and Lenox China, among others.
In the late 80’s Mr. Laughton started his own company and created a niche business of partnering dozens of major packaged-goods brands who were put together into shared couponing programs, and introduced innovative multi-brand promotions including; The Famous Brands Recipe Card Collection, The Microwave Information Center, and a variety of nationally distributed shared FSIs.
Today, US Sweeps is a leader in the promotional marketplace and an active member of the PMA (Promotional Marketing Association), of which Mr. Laughton is a member of the organization’s Sweepstakes Committee.
Barbara Laughton is a senior marketing and brand specialist with over 20 years’ experience on both the agency and client side in strategic communications and brand management in advertising, public relations, media buying, new business development, market research, web development and strategic planning services.
Prior to joining US Sweeps in 2008, she served as Vice President of Jay Advertising, a $125 million Interpublic/McCann WorldGroup Agency, from 1994 to 2007.
As chief marketing officer and strategist for the agency, she directed client relations, branding, marketing and account planning for all accounts. This included directing activities in market research, brand identity and brand positioning.
She joined US Sweepstakes in 2008 as Marketing VP and assumed the presidency in 2009, succeeding her husband Doug Laughton, founder and chairman of US Sweepstakes. She directs the Time Inc. account (Real Simple, People, Cooking Light, InStyle, Health, Southern Living, This Old House etc.) as well as LOFT, Almay Revlon, Raymour & Flanigan and other consumer products groups that include packaged goods, banking, automotive, food & beverage, healthcare and retail categories.
